The UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator is a six-month, immersive program designed to leverage UCLA’s resources to enable the success of promising startups within the Anderson community.

According to Trish Halamandaris, the program’s director and alumni of UCLA Anderson,the Accelerator houses 10 to 12 teams, or cohorts, each six-month period. All the 10 teams are chosen fromtens of thousands of entrepreneurial teams nationwideand each of them is the best of the best. Being accepted into the accelerator is great honor and encouragement for NUOPIA.

UCLA Anderson started the Business Creation Option (BCO) in2004 to support student-led startups with the incremental resources that entrepreneurs require. Demand for the BCO program grew significantly, which drove the launch of the UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator in 2016 as a partnership between UCLA Anderson and the Rosenfeld Library.
