As a Software Engineer with XXXXXXX, you will be responsible for developing both functional and technical designs from detailed requirements utilizing your knowledge of the programs and products.

 

Some essential functions of this position include:

1. Creating designs and programs

2. Potentially providing guidance to lower level Engineers as needed

3. Provide internal and external support, evaluating and researching tools and products that could be used in current and future development

4. Application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine functional specifications

5. Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test or modify computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications

6. Document, test, create or modify computer programs related to the design of software or hardware for computer operating systems

Qualifications

Experience in the following areas:

•  Major in computer science or electrical engineering

•  C#, C and C++ programming or equivalent structured language in a Microsoft Windows environment.

•  Structured software design using .Net

•  Database experience (Oracle, SQL, etc)

•  Web development (Java, ASP.net, HTML, XML, etc.)

•  Knowledge of Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest

•  Communication architect and protocols (SNMP a Plus)

•  Object oriented design

•  Agile development

•  Experience with UML a plus

•  Project scheduling

•  Good verbal and written communication skills in English required to work in a global team
