Communication, including a range of skills, such as logical thinking, communication in clarity, courage, use of language, style and creativity, imagination, negotiation skill, persuasion skill, sales, education, influence, organization and so on. You don’t even need to be an outgoing person to be good at communication.

Communication skill determines a person’s income level and his or her value, largely. Look at solicitors, accountants, investment bankers, management consultants, enterprenuers, they are all good at communicating. 

Communication is not just talking. It’s making things happen by expressing your vision and intention, to facilitate the resource or motivate people to achieve the most optical results. In a simple word, it’s leading and being a leader.


Today, for example, I went to visit a purchaser’s solicitor’s fine, who refused to remove the ceveat and stopping my clients’ bridging loan settlement. My clients’ conveyancer mislead the way all alone, the bank was not asking to remove the caveat, but to provide the consent form that they will release and remove the ceveat at settlement. The conveyancer gave up communicating, and decide to concluded that ‘this solicitor is too hard to deal with, the purchaser has the right not to remove the ceveat, the bank should make the change, the bank is unreasonable, the clients should borrow the money from somewhere else, my previous clients failed bridging loan before, bridging loan never works......’ It’s all excuse of avoiding to admit that he did not give the best effort to make the communication effective. When I visited purchaser’s solicitor, because I want to meet the real people and discover the truth, if I’m going to lose the game, and my clients are living with fears and facing huge potential lost. Jean, the associated lawyer in the firm, was quite shock when she heard the story, as if it’s her first time heard about it clearly. The solicitor Henry invoiced my clients $990 because they needed to do spend extra time to investigate into the case due to the vague details from my clients’ conveyancer.

I present my value in this case, even it took me a whole day to wait in Henry’s office, skipped lunch and water, with so many phone calls and emails through many solicitors, bankers, bank’s departments, BDM, office, etc.

I really want to share it with my friends, to improve and practice our communication skills daily. It not just determine our wealth level, and also happiness.
