1. 「strains」 ：常见的意思是“拉紧；张力”，这里是表示“乐曲；曲调；旋律”，用这个意思是时候通常为复数~

「issue」：常见的意思是“发行；发布”，在这里表示“流出；涌出”。

「haunt」：这个词我们之前也讲过~ 这里跟之前的意思一样，作名词表示“常去的地方”

2. 「duck」 这个词我们平时见得最多的是“鸭子；鸭肉”，在这里做动词，表示to move your head or body downwards把头低下来，然后快速逃离这个地方。

原句：I ducked my head and plunged down a side street without taking the trouble to decipher its name.

3. 「house」 ：常见的意思就不说啦， 此处作动词，表示“存放；收藏于……”

「blind」：常见的意思是“看不见的；盲目的”，此处作名词，表示“百叶窗；卷帘”
