This morning Mr Ma told me the students complained about too much English homework and some of them may become tired of learning English. As a result, I have to change my way of teaching English to make it more interesting.
In the evening class, I spent about 20 minutes explaining why we should think of ways to solve the problem instead of complaining. If you are not so outstanding as others, you need to make more efforts to catch up with them. Last night a boy got angry because he failed to finish reading words on time so he had to write the words four times. He complained about it to me in a loud voice before the whole class, which also made me feel very angry. So I asked him to the office and instructed him patiently. Today he behaved very well and listened to English class carefully, which made me much relaxed.
In the following 30 minutes, I explained passage B and told them how to read a descriptive passage, and then asked them to retell the passage, but they really did not do well. Their spoken English is a little poor, so I should spend much time on it.
